APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION FOR THE VENICE HIGH SCHOOL REBUILD PROJECT - PHASE 2
Description
Under the terms of the 7/21/2009 (Item #63) Board approved "Agreement between Owner and Construction Manager for Pre-Construction & Bidding Services", the Director of Construction Services and a member of the Professional Services Selection Committee (PSSC) have successfully negotiated a contract with Mills Gilbane for a portion of the Venice High School Rebuild project. The 7/21/2009 agreement included pre-construction and bidding services only. The scope of this contract shall include the vertical construction of a new Administration Building, Gymnasium and Performing Arts Center. The Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of this contract is $39,811,580.00. This contract is available for review at the Construction Services Department. The School Board attorney has approved the use of this contract. Funds for this contract are available in the project budget account.
Recommendation
That the Contract for Construction for the Venice High School Rebuild project-Phase 2 be approved as presented.
